Creating a Culture of Compassion and Community
Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School joined thousands of schools from around the country to participate in the Great Kindness Challenge, a campaign that promotes kindness, social-emotional health and bullying prevention.
The weeklong initiative encouraged acts of kindness to create a culture of compassion, acceptance, unity and respect. Colorful bulletin boards, morning announcements, positive messages and more motivated students to embrace the theme of Kindness Moves.
To encourage everyone to show their school pride, spirit week included days to wear colorful tie-dye clothing to color our world with kindness, superhero shirts to be powered by kindness, FJC or Rocky Point shirts and school colors, and T-shirts with positive messages of love and kindness for all to see!
